Body Positive Schools resource

A free educational resource to support teaching and learning in Key Stage 3 (ages 11-14) classrooms in the UK. Body Positive Schools enables a whole-school approach to promoting a body positive culture.

Everyone deserves to feel good about themselves in both body and mind. Feeling under pressure, uncertain or unhappy with our bodies are normal feelings that can arise from time to time. The Body Positive Schools resource helps to create some space to express and explore these feelings, as well as ways to work towards developing supportive classrooms and schools.

Developed in collaboration with researchers at the University of Bath the resource covers a range of topics, from exam and appearance pressures to online influences and body positive PE.

Body Positive Schools is specifically designed for flexible teaching with materials and activities for you to explore and discuss different key issues related to how we feel about our bodies, as well as ideas and examples for projects that can be carried out at a larger scale and over a longer time period than one or a few classes.

Please note: the resource was developed prior to our rebrand to Talk ED, and features our old branding.
